Renfrew Report… Record Breaking Sale!
I Just Sold Bigfoot’s Home — And It Might Be My Favorite Deal Yet
By Arron Renfrew | Asset Manager | Renfrew Team | AUM Real Estate
After 30 years in real estate, I’ve seen just about everything. Luxury estates, distressed properties, off-market unicorns—you name it.
But this one? This one takes the cake.
I just sold Bigfoot’s home.
Yes—that Bigfoot. Also known (once he warms up to you) as Mr. Squatch.
A Pacific Northwest Legend Moves On
For hundreds of years, Bigfoot has called the Pacific Northwest home. Deep forests, mountain ranges, privacy—you couldn’t design a better long-term hold if you tried.
But even legends aren’t immune to today’s real estate climate.
When I asked him why he finally decided to sell, he didn’t hesitate:
“Too much regulation. Too much taxation. It’s not the same forest it used to be.”
Sound familiar?
Why He Chose Me
Now here’s the part I’ll admit I take a little pride in.
When I asked why he picked me to represent the sale, he laughed—a deep, echoing, slightly intimidating laugh—and said:
“I wanted a real estate professional I could trust to sell a… unique home. Someone who could get me the most money with the least amount of headaches. I knew with Arron’s reputation, he’d get it done.”
And we did.
Structuring a Deal for a… Unique Seller
Let’s just say this wasn’t your typical transaction.
Privacy was critical (obviously)
Marketing had to be strategic (no open houses… for multiple reasons)
Buyer qualification was… selective
And timing? Everything
We navigated it all.
And yes—we negotiated a rent-free rent-back, giving Mr. Squatch time to wait for the snowy mountain pass to clear before heading further north to his next chapter.
Win-win.
The Bigger Lesson
Here’s the truth: whether you’re a first-time buyer, a seasoned investor, or a legendary forest dweller—the fundamentals still matter.
You need the right strategy
The right positioning
And the right advisor
Because in today’s market, it’s not just about selling—it’s about how you sell.
Final Thoughts
This deal was fun. Memorable. A little surreal.
But underneath it all, it reinforces what I’ve built my career on: navigating complex situations, protecting my clients, and getting results—no matter how unique the property… or the seller.
If you’re thinking about making a move—whether you’re upgrading, downsizing, relocating… or just tired of the noise—I’m here to help you do it right.
Even if your neighbor happens to be Bigfoot.
Let’s make your next move a winning one. Happy April 1st!
